C'mon Now MMA Podcast #151 September 30, 2020

Today’s Topics:

  • The story shouldn’t be about Israel Adesanya’s actions, but it should be about Paulo Costa and MMA’s culture of  homophobia, sexism and racism.  It’s time to look in the mirror and address the big problems. (01:12)

  •  The pressure Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier put on the UFC with their charity event seems as if it might have worked. We still need to find out about the money and the charity aspect. (09:03)

  •  If there is a loophole in UFC deals to allow “charity” events without UFC approval, expect that to get closed in a big hurry. (14:14)

  • I’m glad that Khabib Nurmagomedov turned down a chance to coach TUF opposite Conor McGregor…if that story is true because it sounds kind of not true. (16:10)

  •  The toxic MMA environment is at least partially responsible for costing MMA one of the best the sport has ever seen.  Ya’ll screwed up big time. (19:42)
